Walnut Pony Families,                                                                              

Thank you for your patience as we try and get the 2021 season up and running. While there are still many things that need to be worked out, we want to update you all and let you know that we fully intend to have a season. We are just waiting to get approval from the county and the City of Walnut and hope to have that soon.

            While we wait for approval, the Board has been meeting to try and get things in order so that we can begin a season once the approval is given.  Here a few things about the upcoming season that have been discussed:

1. Registration:  If you have not registered on our website (walnutponybaseball.net) please do that ASAP. We will not be collecting any money just yet. Once we have an official start date, we will open the site to collect fees and will also have an onsite registration day.

2. Tryouts/Evaluations: In an effort to keep groups small, we will only be having tryouts for players that are new to our league. If you signed up last season, we will use those evaluation scores to place you on a team. We will contact you if you need to be evaluated. The date will most likely be the first week of April.

3.  Managers/Coaches: If you are interested in managing or coaching a team, please reach out to the player agent of your division.

3.  Raffle Tickets: Raffle tickets will be sold this year and the raffle will be held at the end of the season during “Closing Day Ceremonies.” (no Opening Day celebration this season)

4. Opening Day: Nothing is official yet, but  we hope to begin games mid-April (exact date TBD).

While this season may look a little different than before, we are all just excited to get the kids back on the field! We will post any updates on our website and on social media, so please check those often. If you have any questions, please reach out via email: [email protected]
