Walnut Pony Baseball Volunteers
Walnut Pony Baseball is a community-driven organization that thrives on the passion and dedication of our volunteers. Our league would not be possible without the generous contributions of parents, family members, and community enthusiasts who give their time and energy to make every season a success.
Volunteering is a rewarding way to get involved, meet other baseball families in Walnut, and make a direct, positive impact on our young athletes. Whether you have an hour to spare or can commit to a season-long role, we have a place for you!
Ways to Get Involved
-
Team Manager or Coach
Lead a team and teach our young players the fundamentals of the game, good sportsmanship, and teamwork. No experience is necessary—just a passion for the game and a desire to mentor kids.
-
Team Parent
The organizational rockstar of the team! You will assist the coaching staff by handling team communication, organizing snack schedules, and helping with special events.
-
Field Maintenance Crew
Help keep our Walnut baseball fields in pristine condition. Duties include preparing the field before games, raking, and general cleanup. No experience required—just a willingness to work outdoors.
-
Scorekeeper or Pitch Counter
Perfect for those who love staying in the action. Home teams are responsible for keeping an accurate scorebook and, for certain divisions, a pitch count. We provide all the necessary training.
-
Snack Shack Crew / Concessions Stand Volunteer
The Snack Shack is a vital part of the game-day experience and a major fundraiser for our league. Help greet families, serve snacks, prepare basic food items, and keep the stand stocked and tidy.
-
Event Volunteer
Love big events? We need hands-on help for our special league days, including Opening Day, Picture Day, and our end-of-season tournament.
